it really annoys me to see tumblrs and people adding (i laugh at this a lot) the *ima photographer // graphic designer* to there “about me” but yet all you do is add a brush to your background, and a cool fucking quote on a shirt and wanna be a graphic / clothing label designer right? what exactly do you know about typography? or better yet what do you know about the proper indesign, dreamweaver, illustrator create suits, oh so you know how to fade in / out a video in premiere guess that makes you a film editor now too right? lol, you are pretty much giving yourself a label that we dont even give our selves, see the reason why i dont design as much anymore is cause you people destroyed it for me, you people killed my inspiration, i mean its not fully dead, i still do it to stay on top, to keep clients make extra money, i still have inspiration like electrik-suicide, akutou, mesm8, black christ im currently teaching myself how to edit,create film thanks to people like maestro, miss-leading, eddwater, pda.. people who inspire me to try it out..but im not gonna be like omg i know how to cross fade and like add text music background im a film editor. pft im no where near it..i studied my art. i know the designers, i practiced for years to get where im at, and a whole lot of you just slap shit around download filters and have the nerve to say oh im a graphic designer i can create layouts but cant code, lol, i can create cool quotes on shirts but cant vector or vexel (huge difference between the 2)….you are not one, you are an inspiring graphic designer/web designer. know the difference..
Photographers same rules apply you don’t know shit about film about exposure, or 33mm with speed lights and nikons,canon,dslr, my god just cause your hipster ass got a nikon and you know how to shoot on “programed mode” doesn’t make you one either, you are inspiring. congrats on your camera i mean you did the first step in buying a dslr, but if you dont love it, if your not willing to do a 352 day shoot, or be like the photographers in every issue of fader, be like tinysmalls jesicka lynn nadine justin roston another bunch of my inspirations, then you aren’t a photographer, you can stick with a d40/60 for the rest of your life its a hobby, but you aren’t a photographer real talk you guys need to stop labeling yourselves killing the god damn love for it, being a hipster /following a trend is never fucking cool..we all have something we hide which makes us a geek and a lot of you hide it embarrassed of it. im not and a lot of the people i choose to call friends aren’t either. im not ashamed to say i play tons of video games, read comics, skate, wear baggy/fit clothes, think zombies are gonna take over the world, believes in other life on different planets, thinks the trees talk, believes in monsters. etc etc the list goes on..that’s who i am, you need to develop exactly who you are as a child and keep that alive, instead of following what you think “is cool” everyone is inspiring but not everyone follows that they just get caught in the moment
